Fluff & Tuff, known for its plush, durable dog toys, announced the recipients of its 2017 Holiday Charity Toy donation.
Given the tremendous impact the 2017 hurricanes had on the animal population in Texas, Florida and beyond, The Fluff & Tuff Charitable Foundation donated its annual Holiday Charity Toy profits to three heavily impacted organizations: Houston Pets Alive!, the Florida Keys SPCA and Code 3 Associates.
“We focused our 2017 donations on organizations that not only were instrumental in providing disaster relief during last year’s hurricanes, but still continue to provide ongoing assistance in their animal communities,” said Ellen Lawson, owner of Fluff & Tuff.
Houston Pets Alive! (HPA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing programs, resources and education to the Houston area shelter and rescue community. After Hurricane Harvey, HPA opened a temporary shelter to help absorb as many of the displaced animals as possible and have since continued as permanent shelter. Florida Keys SPCAA is an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to the protection of abandoned, unwanted and mistreated companion animals in the Florida Keys region. They operate the southernmost shelter in the U.S. and they were severely impacted by Hurricane Irma.
Code 3 Associates is a nonprofit organization providing professional animal disaster response to communities, as well as providing professional training to individuals and agencies involved in animal related emergency response.
The Fluff & Tuff Charitable Foundation’s mission is to make a big difference for small organizations that are committed to helping animals in need. It offers funding to numerous small-scale, non-profit animal shelters, organizations, rescues and clubs across the country.
